Forewords, Preface, some sample pages and cover front and back side!

This is a book in a narrative style, describing my bioacoustic and behavioural research on 4 crane species, all in the wild, in Europe, Asia and North America. I am also telling about the challenges and adventures I had to cope with, in the DMZ directly at the border to North Korea and even more in the huge Wildlife Refuge alone with cranes, alligators, poisonous snakes and killer bees. Also about the reintroduction project to establish again a wild Whooping Crane population in Wisconsin, teaching them to migrate to Florida by training them to follow ultralight airplanes – using an artificial communication system developed by me based on original wild Whooping Cranes vocalisations. (Whooping Cranes are the most extremely endangered crane species.)

The book contains 48 photos, graphs and maps, 45 of them in colour.
